Personal Security Devices
There are many security systems available today to protect your
home, boat, car or network, but what about personal security?
Personal security technology has often been hotly debated by government
bodies. In many countries mace or pepper spray is banned, due to
illegitimate use.
So what other personal protection devices are there?
Personal Security Devices
Necklace and bracelet alarms - commonly used for medical purposes,
but also for personal attack alarm
Room monitors - used for babies and invalids
Mace/Pepper Spray - a small spray, which when
sprayed in the face causes severe discomfort, totally distracting
the attacker, allowing the victim to escape or take other evasive
and protective action.
Screechers - small panic button devices to alert
those nearby of your emergency. These are sometimes incorporated
into spray devices.
Micro-Stun Guns - these emit a weak electric shock,
but sufficient to cause discomfort and distraction of the assailant
Invisible Tags - spray devices may also include
an invisible tagging chemical, which shows up under police surveillance
equipment to reveal the identity of culprits.
Dog Repellant Devices - small handheld units that
emit a frequency uncomfortable for dogs hearing. This repeals the
dog from potential attacking.
Firearms - these are governed by state laws.
